It will probably be a tangled, nightmarish, overly complicated endeavor. (It’s one of the last events on campus that doesn’t take place online.) Despite how the system works, students will gather early, nervously awaiting the start of the event. (Getting to Ted Wilson Gymnasium early will not increase your chances of getting what you want, freshmen.) The upper gym will become unbearably hot, and people will be irate and pushy.
Welcome to Linfield housing registration.
This year, in an effort to help students better understand their housing options (because who reads all those e-mails, anyway?), the Review has created a Renter’s Guide for Linfield students. Details of most halls and suburbs are below (most of which was collected from the Residence Life website), along with personal recommendations for the Review staff. Take it as you will. The Review hopes that it helps you find what you are looking for.

Prices at Linfield tend to be steep: It costs nearly $600 a month to live in a regular double room in a residence hall and nearly $750 a month to live in a HP double. However, you’re stuck on campus (those are the rules) until you’re a senior (94 credits or more), are married, live with your parents (within 30 miles) or have a certain amount of unmet financial aid. It is a residential college, after all.
For those who are able to live off campus, plenty of choices are available (although this guide will not go into that).
