After a rough start to the season, the Wildcats have stormed back, winning six of their previous eight games, holding on to fourth place in the Northwest Conference.
Junior point guard Cody Tesoro led the way during the season, averaging 20 points per game.
In their latest contest, the Wildcats faced an uphill battle against George Fox University. With 1:33 to play in the game and trailing 64-62, Tesoro took matters into his own hands. He fired up and sank two 3-pointers in 45 seconds, sealing the victory for Linfield.
Senior forward Erik Olson contributed greatly to the victory, scoring 22 points. During Linfield’s streak, Olson averaged 15.7 points per game.
Linfield has two games remaining in its regular season schedule. Feb. 20, Pacific University will travel to Ted Wilson Gymnasium, and Feb. 21, the Cats host Pacific Lutheran University.
