Senior Sam Dinsmore, a vocal performance and German double major, plays the character of Sancho, one of the lead roles in the musical “Man of La Mancha.”
“I love performing in general,” Dinsmore said. “It is so gratifying when people are entertained by your performance.”
He was involved in a musical his senior year of high school and has been involved in the opera workshop since his freshman year at Linfield.
“When I found out that the theater department was going to be doing a musical, I wanted to be involved,” Dinsmore said.
He has enjoyed getting to work with the theater department for the first time.
Right now, Dinsmore is looking at graduate schools to get a master’s degree in vocal performance and said he is excited to perform more in the future.
“I’m looking towards performing, teaching voice and music and eventually directing,” Dinsmore said. “I want to get myself out in the musical world as much as possible.”
