Students present work at fall Literature Conference

Linfield’s English department is hosting their 2017 Fall Literature Conference at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in T. J. Day Hall 219. The English department hosts this conference every semester to feature students’ analytical writing. Free lunch will be provided for attendees while a guest speaker gives the keynote address.

The topics are separated by panels, starting with the first panel called “Textual Bodies” from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Students Keri Dixon, Melory Mirashrafi, Olivia Gomez and Alex Dinh will be presenting.

From noon to 1:00 p.m. is the keynote address, which will be presented by Dr. Elizabeth E. Tavares from Pacific University. Her lecture is title “The Tumbler and the Turk: or, How to Study Theatre History.”  

The second panel is scheduled to begin afterwards and is titled ”Forms of Power.” Students Adrian Iu, Sierra Lemon, Téa Ned, and Idalis Nieves will be presenting their papers for this panel.
