Cross country runs at Linfield Harrier Classic

The meet was held Friday at Joe Dancer Park. In the four-kilometer race, the ’Cats placed first among five teams with a score of 34 points. They defeated George Fox University, Concordia University, Western Oregon University and Multnomah University. Knudson placed second overall in a time of 15:30.8 and Neal placed third in a time of 15:32.1. Other Linfield scorers were junior Courtney Beard, who placed sixth in a time of 15:50.1, freshman Nicole Bissey who placed 11th in a time of 16:19.1 and Rodden who placed 15th in a time of 16:31.1. Kennedy Rufener won the meet in a time of 15:21.5.

Linfield will race at the Western Oregon University Ash Creek Invitational 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, in Monmouth, Oregon.
