A diabetic student lost consciousness on Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. while walking to his apartment in Hewlett-Packard Park.

The student, who wishes to remain unnamed, was feeling light-headed and experiencing blurred vision when he left in the middle of class. The student had fainted while walking due to extremely low blood sugar levels and another student called 9-1-1.

The student was tended to by McMinnville medics at the scene and escorted back to his apartment after he recovered.

A CPS officer came to the scene to inform students that it is better to contact 9-1-1 for immediate medical emergencies.
