Rape suspect moving home to California

The rape, sodomy, unlawful sexual penetration, and sexual abuse charges against Linfield junior Diego Garza remain the same after his court appearance on Sept. 24.

Garza, 20, is allowed to move to California with his mother as a result of this preliminary hearing.

Yamhill County Circuit Court Judge Ronald Stone altered Garza’s bail restrictions to permit the move.

As part of his bail restrictions, Garza is not allowed contact with the alleged victim.

Garza did not return a request for comment.

Garza is required to appear for his next court hearing on Nov. 3. This will be a trial report conference.
