’Cat Lax learns from season, anticipates improvements in upcoming season

The Linfield Women’s lacrosse team is leaving the 2015-2016 season in the past and looking forward to their bright future.

Looking strictly at the statistics you might say that our girls struggled this season. Yet if you look deeper you can see why ’Cat Lax won every match up.

Going from a team that had questionable chemistry and inexperienced players to a team that can pull off magnificent plays as well as support each other through the hard losses shows the rapid growth  of ’Cat Lax.

As the team gained confidence, along with experience, we saw some girls exceeded expectations.

Mae Seifert scored at least one goal in every game in the latter half of the season.

Genna Hughes showed her experience and well developed technique on the offensive and defensive front.

Amber Kaholoaa repeatedly gave her all on the field, which translated into goals and well preformed defense.

Rebecca Kimball became a better goalie every game.

The ’Cat Lax program has all the elements to become a better team next season. All they have to do is stay hungry for greatness.

“Injured but excited,” Courtney Hicks said.

Next season will be a mix of excitement and hard work for our girls and every Wildcat cannot wait to watch them win.
