Studying abroad is a privilege that many have enjoyed during their time at Linfield. The college offers a variety of programs during January Term, Fall and Spring semesters in over 35 locations around the world and even pays for the round trip airfare for a students’ first study abroad experience. The last day to apply for a term abroad next academic year is today, Friday, Feb. 21 by 5 p.m. Drop off applications in the  International Programs Office in Walker.

Thomas Foy, International Relations Major/German Minor, Austria Fall 2018: “The coolest thing for me was the opportunity to get a taste of another culture that I am completely unfamiliar with. The chance to live and study in a foreign country is invaluable. I would recommend it to anybody.”

Emma Anderson, Wine Major, Portugal Fall 2019: “The most valuable part for me has been learning about different wine practices in old world countries through generational wineries so that I can compare my knowledge on new world wines, which allows me to create my own opinions on future practices. I also find it really heartwarming that there’s a universal language of good throughout the world that doesn’t require spoken communication.”
