After being without power for more than five days, the tall ceilings in Nicholson Library and Ford Hall are once again illuminated with light.

Power to both the library and Ford Hall was restored at approximately 4:45 p.m.

Bahram Refaei, Director of Access and Educational Media Services, said that he’s “glad it’s back on and that it is over.”

“[The library] will resume regular hours as soon as we know that the library has reliable power,” Susan Barnes Whyte, library director said. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Replacement equipment arrived Thursday, Feb. 25, and Linfield utilities staff had been working long hours in preparation.

Prior to the power coming back, Allison Horn, Director of Facilities and Auxiliary Services said, “The County Electrical Inspector has been working diligently to provide timely inspections in support of a safe and efficient installation.”
