Linfield’s women’s soccer is off to a winning start this season, going undefeated in their first two games.

The Wildcats will play against the College of Idaho at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, at Linfield.

While the season is still young, Wildcat freshmen goalkeepers Elisa Randel, 0, and Sarah Bailey, 27, have yet to allow a goal.

The Coyotes have been on a three game winning streak, bringing their record to 3-1.

This game will certainly be a test for young keepers Randel and Bailey.

Randel and Bailey will have seniors Marisa Specht, 2, Makenzie Peterson, 8, Regan Cox, 14 and Emilie Kongsore, 24 helping them out on defense.

The Wildcats earned a 15-4 overall record last season going 12-4 in conference play.

The Coyotes went 7-6-4 last year, achieving the eighth best winning percentage in the team’s history.

The odds are in the Wildcats favor, with a 6-2 at-home record from last season.

Both teams have won against Trinity Lutheran College this week, with Linfield toping them 2-0 and the College of Idaho beating them 3-1.

This will be coach Cole McCool’s second season coaching the Wildcats, after leading the team to a second place overall finish in the Northwest Conference last season.
