Linfield lost a truly great man this past weekend. A man who embodied everything it means to be a Wildcat.

On this cold night of Nov. 18, students of all grades, backgrounds and social circles gathered upon the football field at a candlelight vigil in remembrance of  Parker’s life, as well as all of the lives he touched.

There would have been no way of knowing that hundreds of people were gathered on that field, though, because it was silent.

This silence was not awkward nor uncomfortable. This silence was beautiful.

As the community searches for information and answers, as a journalist I feel that there comes a time when writers must step back and be silent.

In the hectic atmosphere of the world we live in, we often forget that sometimes the best thing to say, is to say nothing at all.

This article has no breaking news, no answers.

This is the time to be still. This is the time to remember… Parker Moore.
