Student, freshmen and upperclassmen, gathered in Riley 301 this Tuesday to celebrate the reopening of the ASLC Game Room. Linfield Activities board turned the event into an ice cream social, and it did become fairly social, even if some students only went for ice cream then headed out the back door.

Others stayed to play in the Game Room, where various conversations beginning with “Hi, I’m…” could be heard.

“We wanted to get our name out there,” sophomore Cruz Morey, a LAB member, said. “We also wanted the student body to know where the Game Room is.”

The event showed freshmen the location of the Game Room and revealed the new layout of the room to returning students.

“We wanted the freshmen to kind of get to know each other too,” sophomore Heidi Ambrose said.

Freshman and international student Seung Eun Lee stood at a foosball table with one of her friends.

“It’s a little hot, but I think there are so many interesting things here,” Lee said.

Freshman David Brody waited for his turn at the ping pong table, the activity that looked like the most fun to him.

“A lot of people showed up. It looks like it was pretty successful,” Brody said about the event.
