Please read this article. It about sums it up for me, I am attaching other articles that lead me to the same conclusion.

As a Peace Activist and renewable Energy professional, I wanted to Embrace Obama and did at first, but he seemed insincere, and I’d worked in the advertising Industry and has seen campaigns selling products — Good and Bad — New, Improved, Better, Best, Different, so when I came down from the high of what a great speaker Obama is, I started to read, read, and read, and realized he is not New and not different, and I’m supporting Hillary.

Hillary may not be 47, or seen as a Rock Satr, but she’s down to earth and her speeches match her voting record, and that speaks volumes to me. I trust she is the best candidate to lead the USA to peace and prosperity.

So please consider the candidates carefully, and report on the truth, rather than support any hype.

The Obama Craze: Count Me Out
    by Matt Gonzalez‚ Feb. 27‚ 2008

Part of me shares the enthusiasm for Barack Obama. After all, how could someone calling themself a progressive not sense the importance of what it means to have an African-American so close to the presidency? But as his campaign has unfolded, and I heard that we are not red states or blue states for the 6th or 7th time, I realized I knew virtually nothing about him.

Like most, I know he gave a stirring speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. I know he defeated Alan Keyes in the Illinois Senate race; although it wasn’t much of a contest (Keyes was living in Maryland when he announced). Recently, I started looking into Obama’s voting record, and I’m afraid to say I’m not just uninspired: I’m downright fearful. Here’s why:

    http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2007/8/8/194812.shtml
Obama and Wright appears, at first blush, an unlikely pair. Wright is Chicago’s version of the Rev. Al Sharpton.

It was no surprise that Sharpton recently announced that with Wright’s backing, he was setting up a chapter of his New York-based National Action Network in Chicagoland. The chapter will be headed by Wright’s daughter, Jeri Wright.

Obama was not the only national African-American figure to cozy up to Wright. TV host Oprah Winfrey once described herself as a congregant, but in recent years has disassociated herself from the controversial minister.

Obama Comments on the Rev. Wright and Rezko
    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/03/obama-comments.html

When asked if the decision came from the campaign or from Wright, Obama was short on specifics, saying only, “I think there was a recognition that he’s on the verge of retirement, he’s taking a sabbatical and that it was important for him to step out of the spotlight in this situation.”

Obama said that the did not know the extent of Wright’s controversial comments until recently. He confirmed that he was not in the church when Wright made the comments that were reported this week.

“I wasn’t in church during the time that these statement were made,” Obama said. “I did not hear such incendiary language myself, personally. Either in conversations with him or when I was in the pew, he always preached the social gospel.”

    From Yahoo Answers:
Shortly after Obama took office, his wife, Michelle, received a promotion from her employer, the not-for-profit University of Chicago Hospitals, nearly tripling her earnings to $316,962 from $121,910 the previous year.

    Obama’s earmarks from 2005 and 2006:
Here’s one highlight: Obama sought money for the University of Chicago Hospitals. Wife Michelle works for the University of Chicago Hospitals, appointed in spring 2005 as vice president for community and external affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals.

Because of the overwhelming antiwar sentiment of Democratic voters, Obama has attempted to strike a critical pose toward the war in Iraq—as have the other putative frontrunners, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards. Like his counterparts, however, he is a tried and true defender of the geo-political interests of corporate America. If elected, he would not hesitate in using military force to secure US domination of the Middle East, Central Asia and the world.

Did Obama Lie To Chicago Media About 2008 Campaign Plans?
Posted February 2nd, 2008 by oldmole
    http://www.bostonnow.com/blogs/oldmole/2008/02/02/did-obama-lie-to-chicago-media-about-2008-campaign-plans

The day after he was elected to the U.S. Senate from Illinois in November 2004, Barack Obama, “pressed by the Chicago media the day after his election, flatly denied that he would run for the Oval office in 2008,” according to the 2007 book “OBAMA: From Promise to Power” by former Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendell.

Yet in 2008, the same campaign media consultant who handled Democratic Massachusetts Gov. Deval “Nothing Accomplished” Patrick’s campaign in 2006 and the Richard Daley Dynasty Machine’s past mayoralty campaigns in Chicago, David Axelrod, is now attempting to market Obama as the next occupant of the White House’s Oval office.

According to the `OBAMA: From Promise to Power” book:

“Without Axelrod as his marketing specialist, it’s unclear if Obama would have won the Democratic Party primary [in Illinois in 2004]…Axelrod…was the publicity agent who sold Obama to Illinois voters. Obama would lean on Axelrod increasingly throughout the 2003-2004 campaign season–and thereafter. If Obama was on his cell phone, which seemed to be at every spare moment, there was a high probability that he was consulting with `Ax’, the apt nickname for this cutthroat political operativee. Obama would call Axelrod three or four times a day, at all hours of the day and night, seeking his counsel…Axelrod is a former reporter for the `Chicago Tribune.’…

“One of Axelrod’s most enduring clients is Mayor Daley, who lords over Chicago with a powerful political machine unmatched anywhere in the country. When Daley’s political apparatus became the focus of a federal corruption investigation into widespread illegal patronage hiring at city hall, Axelrod rushed in to defend the mayor with TV appearances and op-ed pieces…”

Besides being backed by media consultant Axelrod, Obama has also apparently been financially backed by Chicago’s billionaire Pritzker Dynasty since 2002. As “OBAMA: From Promise to Power” also observed:

“…He [Obama] invited a group of African-American professionals to the house of Marty Nesbit, who had served as finance chairman of his congressional campaign. Nesbitt is the president of a Chicago parking management company and vice president of the Pritzker Realty Group, part of the Pritzker family empire…He had been friends with Obama for years. Their wives were also close…

“…Nesbitt arranged a weekend getaway to help Obama reach inside the deepest pockets he knew–those of the Pritzker family.

“The Pritzkers rule a family that embodies…extreme wealth in Chicago. One of the richest families in the country, with a fortune estimated at $20 billion, the Pritzkers amassed [their]…fortune through Hyatt hotels, financial services and numerous other enterprises. The clan is intensely private…Nesbitt knew that if Obama could sell himself to Penny Pritzker, her support would not only reap huge immediate financial dividends, but also be a crucial step in the foundation of a fund-raising network.

“So in late summer 2002, Obama, Michelle [Robinson-Obama] and their two daughters drove to Penny Pritzker’s weekend cottage along the lakefront in Michigan about forty-five minutes from Chicago…”

Although Barack Obama claims to be against the Bush Adminsitration’s decision to attack Iraq in 2003, as a U.S. Senator in early 2006 Obama voted to confirm as U.S. Secretary of State the National Security Affairs Adviser to George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, who was one of the architects of the Bush Administration’s decision to attack Afghanistan in 2001 and to attack Iraq in 2003.

This magazine has been critical of the senator from Illinois for his closeness to Wall Street; his unwillingness to lay out an ambitious progressive agenda on healthcare, housing and other domestic policy issues; and for postpartisan rhetoric that seems to ignore the manifest failure of conservatism over these past seven years.

    The Obama Myth
    http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=6967
In the area of crime, Obama appears downright pro-criminal. He cast the lone vote against legislation in 2001 that would have eliminated time off for “good behavior” for sexual predators. Obama’s backers have tried to explain the vote away by tying it to the principle of uniform sentencing guidelines, but 55 to 1 makes that a tough sell. He has consistently voted against tougher sentences for, among other things, cop killers, and drug dealers.

Because of the media’s complete unwillingness to explore Obama’s record in the same manner they explored the civil court records of his opponents, the Hyde Park Liberal has gotten a free ride. Democrats tout him as a future President and even Republicans find themselves charmed and envious of the young star. But his wings of wax will not last. In the realm of national politics where merit matters and the press actually vets candidates, we can be confident that a Senator Barack Obama will become the next Paul Wellstone — a nice, bright guy relegated to the back benches of the liberal fringe. If we’re lucky, Illinois voters will wise to this potential fate before they go to the polls in November.

Obama Vows He Would Strike At Al Qaeda in Pakistan
    http://www.nysun.com/article/59662?page_no=2
Senator Dodd of Connecticut offered the most stinging criticism, singling out Mr. Obama’s comments on Pakistan. “Frankly, I am not sure what Barack is calling for in his speech this morning,” Mr. Dodd said in a statement. “But it is dangerous and irresponsible to leave even the impression the United States would needlessly and publicly provoke a nuclear power.”

Mr. Dodd said that while he would move against Osama bin Laden and other terrorists, he would not “declare my intentions for specific military action to the media in the context of a political campaign.”

The campaign of Senator Biden of Delaware sent out a statement to “congratulate” Mr. Obama on his “Johnny-come-lately” position, citing a long-standing push by Mr. Biden for more troops and reconstruction aid to Afghanistan and for more cooperation from Pakistan in the war on terrorism. But Mr. Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, also chastised Mr. Obama for being too specific. “The last thing you want to do is telegraph to the folks in Pakistan that we are about to violate their sovereignty,” he said in an appearance at the National Press Club, according to his campaign.

John Edwards of North Carolina and Governor Richardson of New Mexico did not criticize Mr. Obama directly, but issued statements saying that while they would use military force to fight terrorism, their focus would be on diplomacy first.

Mr. Obama earned praise from a Democratic foreign policy heavyweight, Lee Hamilton, who served as vice chairman of the Iraq Study Group. “It is the most comprehensive statement on counterterrorism that I have seen made by a presidential candidate,” he said. A former Indiana congressman, Mr. Hamilton now heads the Wilson Center and introduced Mr. Obama before his speech. He voiced support for Mr. Obama’s challenge to Pakistan, although he is not endorsing the senator’s candidacy. Even as he pledged not to shy away from military force, Mr. Obama reiterated an emphasis on diplomacy, standing by his much-publicized promise last week to meet with rogue leaders without preconditions. In the first direct spat of the campaign, Mrs. Clinton had deemed Mr. Obama “irresponsible” and “naïve,” prompting him to link her to the legacy of the Bush administration.

For this, a lot of the local antiwar activists started calling him ‘Barack O’bomb ’em.’

Days before his 2004 DNC speech, Obama remarked to the press that there was, in fact, little difference between his position on the war and George W. Bush’s–except how best to “execute” the policy.

    Analysis: Bill Clinton’s Lost Legacy
    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/26/politics/main3755521.shtml
Obama’s a sly fox. He knew the racism at his church had been uncovered by Republicans for a year, and for that time he had the mainstream press up against the wall afraid to mention race. His strategy seemed to be start accusing the Clinton campaign of racism, wherever he could stretch the truth and get media coverage making the Clintons seems somewhat racist, then when Wright videos were exposed he could more easily claim racism on both sides.
