Two familiar faces from Melrose Hall recently moved on from long-held positions.

Dolly Vonder Reith, the executive assistant in the office of student services, moved to Arizona last fall.

Vonder Reith had been an employee at Linfield since 1996, and was acknowledged as Employee of the Year in 2007.

“We are sorry that she moved on,” Dean of Students Dave Hansen said.

Vonder Reith was active in student affairs, helping Resident Advisers as well as students.

“She loved working with students,” Director of Housing Jeff Mackay said. “I think she will be quite the loss.”

Kelly Bowie has replaced Vonder Reith as executive assistant.

Down the hall from student services in Melrose, the Financial Aid Office has also seen staff changes.

Former Financial Aid receptionist Sandra Hascall worked at Linfield since 2002. She moved on to a job with the State of Oregon in accounting administration last fall.

“She was very excited about this opportunity,” Director of Financial Aid Chrisanne Werner said. “We were very grateful to have her for six years.”

Kristin Schweitzer replaced Hascall in the Office of Financial Aid after her departure.
